There are so many thoughts that we have about Yvonne that it’s difficult to know where to start. We have had the privilege of knowing Yvonne since she met my brother Edward. We know something of the amazing, solid and faithful love that they shared. Together their love brought three beautiful children that they were so deservedly proud of. We enjoyed their holidays to Ireland and we shared many happy times when all of our kids got to know each other. She not only shared her love and caring with Edward and the children but in the last few years especially, since her illness started, she has been an example to all of us of the incredible resilience, sheer determination and positivity of which the human spirit is capable. Even at very difficult times in her illness we would hear that she was back out playing tennis or that she was able to re-join her music group and share her gift of music with others. What a legacy she has left after her. What an example she has given us in how she lived her “all too short life” to the full. Sadly we won’t be able to share her physical presence anymore but we will still know of her love in our hearts. Love never dies, love lasts for ever. Until we meet again Yvonne… Cathal, Jo, Mark and Bláthnaid
